SEASONS
Seasons for fishing start the week of May 25th and run through September.
The early weeks have some kings starting to run with dolly varden, rainbows, and pike
fishing being their strongest. During June the king season starts to increase week by week
and gets into full swing around the second week in June until July 14th. At the end of June
and beginning of July the sockeye start running, along with chum or tiger salmon
beginning their journey to spawn. Mid July to August the silver salmon begin their run
with heavy runs starting in the last week of July to the second week in August. During the
entirety of the season, rainbows and dolly varden are strong year round.
Hunting season for black bear begins May 1st and is strongest until the end of June.
The summer months also allow for some good hunting in heavily trafficked food areas
such as salmon holes. All in all black bear is good year round. Brown bear starts in May
until the end of May beginning again August 10th till the end of September. Moose season
starts August 20th and ends September 20th. The rut begins when the temperatures begin
to decline in early September, but moose can be strong no matter the date given our
ability to reach many remote spots. Wolf also can be hunted year round and are always
available in Alaska in strong numbers.

with many islands and sand bars. The pristine, fresh water streams that run
into the river provide the most dynamic fishing in Alaska.
The Department of Alaska Fish and Game has reported that over the last five
years, that the fish runs have steadily grown and will continue to be one of
the heaviest trafficked spawning grounds for Pacific species of salmon.
In addition, we explore and fish seven other remote Alaskan salmon rivers
beginning at Lake Creek. The bountiful five species of salmon you will fish
include rainbow trout and grayling.
